Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre is a Family Resource Centre that offers Early Learning and Family Engagement opportunities to encourage the optimal development of children and families.

We are also a place for parents and caregivers of children up to age 6 to get information and support. Our Place runs the EarlyON Child and Family Centre programs for Kitchener.

Our Place is committed to ensuring that all documents are available in an accessible format and communication supports. Our Place's Accessibility for all Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) policies and procedures are posted under "Policies" on the "What you need to Know" page and are available in accessible formats if requested. If you would like to make a request please contact Bonnie Caza, Operations Supervisor.

importantPlease Note: Our Place will be closed on Friday March 30, Saturday March 31 and Monday April 2 for the Easter Holiday Weekend. The centre will re-open on Tuesday April 3 at 9:00 am.

A plan is underway to give more children and families in Waterloo Region access to programs that help them learn, grow and connect together. Programs for children up to age six are available at Ontario Early Years Centres (OEYCs); but the Province is creating a better system to deliver these programs. This involves changing the name of OEYCs to EarlyON Child and Family Centres.

In early January, EarlyON signs will go up at OEYCs in the region. These centres will continue to offer a variety of programs and services that support early learning and development, engage parents and caregivers, and make connections for families.

These changes are guided by the Ministry of Education’s vision and How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.
