FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAMS
At Our Place Family Resource and Early Years Centre, parents are encouraged to build connections with others. Hearing the lived experiences of others can increase parents confidence in the choices being made for them and the children in their care.
On-site services are available to help parents answer any questions they may have regarding parenting their children as well as addressing concerns of their child's development. Please view the current calendar for more information on programming.
Family Support programs offered include:
Peer Worker and Registered Early Childhood Educator facilitated programs offer opportunities to learn how to build healthy families through peer support and nutrition education.
Attachment-based programming; such as Make the Connection, Infant Massage and Stork Secrets
Family and Child Development Support through services such as:
Breastfeeding Buddies
Zero2Six (Children's Mental Health)
Vision Screening
Kidsability Speech and Language Support
Waterloo Region Family Network
Autism Services Waterloo Region
Meet with a Registered Early Childhood Educator
Registration is required for some of these programs, you can do this in person or by phone. Registration is indicated for each individual program on the monthly calendar.
